Federal judge will not allow for suspension of disability checks

One federal judge had ordered the Social Security Administration to continue allowing individuals to have access to Social Security checks.  The judge would not allow for SSA to suspend benefits to approximately 1,000 people including veterans who suffered traumatic brain injury.

Promising research released concerning treatment of diabetes

There are continuing medical advances concerning diabetes that will hopefully someday make this illness a thing of the past. Certain surgical procedures such as stomach-reducing operations may prove more effective than the taking of many medications in treating both obesity and Type 2 diabetes.

One commentator has expressed concerns about the proposed budget introduced by President Obama. This proposal would reportedly involve disallowing of disability benefits for individuals that are collecting unemployment.
