Workers’ compensation lawyer Barry D. Adler is the principal and founder of Adler Firm, PLLC. A proud Michigander, Barry was born in Detroit and grew up in Oak Park.

Since graduating from law school in 1979, Barry has dedicated his law practice to helping injured clients recover the financial compensation they deserve in workers’ compensation claims, personal injury matters, and Social Security Disability (SSD) cases. Barry’s decades of proven success as a workers’ compensation lawyer demonstrate his superior levels of experience and knowledge and his unwavering dedication to thorough preparation in every matter he handles.

Law Practice Background

Immediately after law school, Barry worked for a Detroit area law firm for six years. His practice focused on workers’ compensation and personal injury. He handled more than 100 trials during that time.

After leaving that firm, Barry practiced with another personal injury lawyer for several years in Southfield and then started his own firm in Farmington Hills in 1990. In 2018, after he and his family moved to northern Michigan, Barry established Adler Firm, PLLC, in Traverse City as his primary practice location, while maintaining a satellite office in Farmington Hills. The firm serves clients throughout the State of Michigan, with a primary focus on serving clients in Grand Traverse County, surrounding northern Michigan counties, and southeastern Michigan.

Working For Workers’ Rights

During his decades of practice as a workers’ compensation lawyer, Barry Adler has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in workers’ comp, personal injury, and SSD benefits for his clients, which reflects his appreciation for the value of intense case preparation and his reputation as a lawyer who does not cut corners. Barry has helped more than 5,000 workers’ compensation claimants and successfully tried over 200 workers’ comp cases.

If you are injured at work and disabled, succeeding in a workers’ compensation, personal injury, or SSD case requires more than just a workers’ compensation lawyer. You need a lawyer committed to straight talk, thorough preparation of your case, and strong advocacy throughout the process. Barry Adler delivers in all these regards, providing the high-quality representation and dedication that you and your family need to get back on your feet.

The size of an employer makes no difference to Barry. His extensive experience and depth of knowledge as a workers’ compensation lawyer make him confident and comfortable going up against large and small employers, insurance companies, and healthcare systems. His accomplishments demonstrate the wide range of his successes.

Barry puts in the work that is necessary to win a case, while working efficiently and maintaining the highest level of integrity in his practice. He makes it a priority to be accessible and available to clients, to make certain that the client is not confused about what is going on in the case or what the next steps are. He is dedicated to helping his hardworking clients get the full benefits they deserve, so that they and their families can move forward and focus on the future.

Outside the Office

True to his Michigan roots, Barry is a proud family man who loves to ski, boat, fish, kayak, hike, travel, and explore nature. He is also a dog lover. He and his wife have a Finnish Lapphund who loves to chase anything and everything.
